This bill exempts Tesla from the current protectionist laws that prohibit vehicle manufacturers from selling their cars directly to Utahns.

Libertas supports this bill. While the bill could be improved by also applying it to vehicles that operate on gasoline, this is a small win against the protectionist forces that try to preserve an antiquated legal model that prevents Utahns from buying vehicles directly from a manufacturer.
