SB 142 (Animal Welfare Amendments)

Libertas Institute opposes this bill.

This bill makes it a crime to leave a dog unattended in a manner that prevents it from reaching shelter during extreme weather conditions.

Libertas opposes this bill. This discriminatory approach treats the same behavior differently depending on which county you live in, and punishes a person for treating an animal, their property, a way they (and the animal) might prefer.
