Libertas Institute and the Utah Taxpayers Association sued the state law year over the adoption of a law that unconstitutionally forced organizations such as ours to disclose information about our donors. The state conceded our point and agreed not to enforce the law. This bill would repeal the unconstitutional language.

Libertas Institute supports this bill. Free association should be protected for individuals and the organizations through which they affiliate. Reporting requirements such as these create a chilling effect and should be eliminated.
